Shrine Shine

Shrine

Shrine

Under Culture played a raucous set of music before its largest fan draw yet at the revered Shrine in Harlem.  Even more impressive was the fact that the show went off on a Monday night at 11:00 pm! Thank you to all our loyal Under Culturists, you mean everything to us.  Loud and distorted, Under Culture rocked the house, with Andres Marin hitting his skins so hard, he had to re-adjust his kit, causing Jon Popin to take an impromptu, but ripping guitar solo.  Jon was especially lit up Monday and put on a show with both his wicked licks and high energy delivery.  Ryan Metosky had a great night too, playing the keys and guitar with a fury.  The night ended on a high, as the fans gave Under Culture a standing ovation during the highly charged climax to You Should Know.

We will see you next month at Parkside Lounge on the Lower East Side!

Let it Rain at Otto's

Otto's Shrunken Head

Otto's Shrunken Head

A freak flash flood hit NYC on Sunday, but that didn't stop the Under Culture crew from playing a wild set at Otto's Shrunken Head.  The crazy weather caused bedlam and mayhem on the roads into Manhattan, but it also caused the boys from Under Culture to get into a spontaneous, un-censored mood.  Mike Turk lept from the stage on multiple occasions (probably in an effort to dry off) and Oren Bayonne jumped up and down with his bass while holding the beat.  Unbelievably, Under Culture had several fans brave the freak flood only to make it to the show.  Kudos especially to Yanet Flores who danced and cheered for the band.  Borrowing from the Under Culture groove Let It Rain, while Under Culture was wondering of its fans "will you be here before it's pouring down", the answer was YES, and the boys were so grateful to its loyal fans.

"So Let it Rain On Down", Under Culture will still be there to perform.

Silvana Mama

The boys from Under Culture were at it again on Wednesday night, April 29.  Playing a rousing set of music before a crowded house at the trendy Silvana lounge in Harlem.  Although the show was a late starter- 11:00 pm, Under Culture revved up the Silvana patrons with their loud brand of rowdy hard rock music until there was dancing and hand-slapping on the main floor.
